Housing demand in Berlin will strongly increase in the long term

Population considerably growing and households becoming smaller

by Peter Guthmann Published on:

According to the current demographic forecast of the Berlin's Senate for Urban Development and the Environment, the population growth in Berlin is going to continue. At the end of 2011, Berlin's population was about 3.5 million. Refered to this forecast, an increase in population of approx. 7% is to be expected in Berlin within the next 18 years. Thus, about 3.8 million people will live in Berlin in 2030.

In parallel to the growth of the population, a reduction of the households takes place in the capital. Already now, this leads to a strong excess demand on the Berlin's real estate market. Small apartments and those within the lower price segment are becoming more and more scarcer (please therefore see our market report for Berlin). The slowly starting new building activities in the capital cannot compensate for these deficits.

The investment in compact Berlin real estate, as for example near universities, is therefore an order of the day. We offer you economically and technically sustainable investment opportunities within walking distance of the HTW (Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft - University of Applied Sciences) in Berlin-Oberschöneweide. These compact, high-quality and favourably priced Berlin properties are developed in accordance with the latest standards and guarantee best possibilities for renting.
